Steve Rogers has been associated with the marine coatings industry since 1995 having worked with Leighs Paints as Northern Marine Sales Engineer, Ameron Marine Div as Senior Sales Engineer and Hempels Marine Northern England Sales Manager respectively. Most of Steve's life has been spent UK and Ireland based within the marine sector and in the UK was heavily involved in local Ferry and Shipyards UK MOD.

Silent Running

Current Incorporated, manufacturer of Silent Running, has been a family owned and operated business since 1962. Current strives on manufacturing the best product on the market at an affordable price.

Currents' facilities consist of our main plant at which all our tubing, rod and spacers are manufactured, along with most sheet material, our warehouse which we stock all our raw material and manufacture our sandwich panels, and our Ohio facility which manufactures all our glass 3x4 sheets.

Silent Running WORKS IN A DIFFERENT WAY

Instead of being a Band-Aid and trying to cover up the sound, Silent Running works like a cure for the vibration problem. It actually gets rid of the vibration by converting it into low-grade heat.

What happens is the back and forth vibrations, or mechanical energy, are converted to thermal energy or heat. It would take a thermometer that could read down to .001 degrees to see it, but this "Viscoelastic" conversion is what happens when you use Silent Running coatings.
